Willy is disappointed in Biff because he knows that Biff was once a success; in school, Biff had been a talented and well-liked athlete. Willy knows that Biff is capable of becoming wealthy and successful. However, Willy is also upset at Biff because Biff seems to care more about enjoying his life and being with nature than earning a living. On the other hand, Biff has knowledge about Willy's affair. Biff's life took a turn for the worse after "he'd gone up to New England to see [Willy]" (Miller 94). Biff proved that he knew about the Woman after his conversation with Linda; the moment Linda mentioned some woman being present at the car accidents, Biff panicked and demanded to know who this woman was. The affair that Willy had evidently caused Biff to lose faith in his father.
