Questions for 3rd Meeting
1. How do you think Ronnie acted when she found out her dad was dying?
I think she acted maturely. Even though she was upset she she helped her dad so much and stayed behind to stay with him until he died. She also made up for lost time by finding out as much as she could about him while he was still alive.
2. Why do you think Will kept his secret from Ronnie?
WIll kept the secret because he is a loyal friend and didn't want to hurt anyone by telling the truth.
3. How do you feel that Ronnie's mom is actually the one who cheated?
I was shocked because the whole time the book hints that the dad cheated so it was a good twist.
4. Put yourself in Jonah's position. How would you react if your dad was dying?
I would act exactly as Jonah did. I would be upset, confused and angry.
5. Why was the window being finished such a big deal?
It was such a big deal because his dad grew up in the church and worked on restoring the window until he died so when Jonah, Will and Ronnie finished it for him it showed how much they loved and respected him.
Summary:
Today was unfortunately the last meeting of our book The Last Song. We were all sad when we found out that Ronnie's dad was dying. Brian made the questions for the week this week and Laura answered them. Pat also contributed to the answers of the questions. Alec brought in some great food that we all greatly enjoyed. We discussed the ending and what we thought about what happened. We all enjoyed the book so much that we are all gong to watch the movie this weekend together. This was a great book that we thoroughly enjoyed.
