This novel is an autobiography by the one and only Bill Mason, the most successful jewel thief in American history. Biographies, especially autobiographies are almost always boring but this book amazingly kept my attention. Incredible is the only word I can use that can accurately describe his life. His honesty about the robberies and cons, contradict the elusive lifestyle he led for thirty years. The reader can feel the sheer terror and fear that he binds into this book as well as imagine the breathtaking jewelry he so vividly describes. Bill Mason will make you think twice about anything labeled “burglar-proof.”
