1. Was the ending with Jamie predictable? Were you happy with the outcome?
    1. Jamie’s ending was kind of predictable because the reader wants Jamie to be found not guilty, and he ends up being not guilty in the end. I was happy with the outcome because Jamie killed his wife out of love and I felt sympathy for him. I didn’t want him to go to jail for something that he didn’t really want to do, but had to do.
  2. What do you think will happen with Allie and Cam? Will they stay together?
    1. I think Allie and Cam will stay together however their relationship will be different. Allie has changed since she found out about Cam’s affair with Mia.
  3. Do you think Cam will continue to write the letters to Mia?
    1. I do think that Cam will still right letters to Mia however not as often. Since his relationship with Allie is now different he might want an escape from it, and to believe that he can be happy with Mia.
  4. Do you think Allie made the right decision to stay with Cam?
    1. I don’t think Allie made the right decision because even though she loves him she has changed since she found out about the affair. It’s not the same relationship and they both might not be happy if she stays with him.
  5. Do you understand Jamie’s reasoning for murdering his wife?
    1. Jamie’s reasoning is understandable because his wife, Maggie, asked him to kill her. She didn’t want to suffer with cancer anymore, and he didn’t want to see her in pain. Jamie was so in love with Maggie that he was willing to do anything for her, even if it meant killing her.

What are some of the images that are used? What do they seem to represent? Why do you think the author uses these images to convey his or her meaning?
Some of the images that were used is Maggie seeing her body in the visual computer. She sees her body as a healthy image instead of what cancer did to her body. The author uses this image to show that people always want what they don’t have.

SUMMARY

We summarized the book because we were confused on some parts. Jamie goes on trial, and successfully wins because the Jury is stupid. We also find out that Jamie kills his wife because she has cancer and asks him to do it. He pillow faced her. During the trial, Jamie takes a small break. During the break, he sees his dead wife, Maggie, and she tells him that everything will be alright.
On the other hand of the story, Cam’s wife finds out about the affair Cam is having with Mia. Ali, Cam’s wife, decides to take back Cam because she is a nice woman. But…Ali is now permanent different. In the beginning of the novel, she would do anything for Cam, by the end; she is a new woman; a strong woman; a woman who does nothing for man and everything for her.
